Accessibility

We want anyone to be able to use this site: with a mouse or only a keyboard, with a screen reader, zoomed in, or on a small phone.

What we've done

  • You can move through the whole site with a keyboard, and you can always see where you are.
  • Menus and page landmarks have clear names for a screen reader.
  • Text has good contrast, in both the light and dark themes.
  • Images have descriptions; purely decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
  • Forms have clear labels and say what is missing.
  • If your device asks for less motion, animations are turned off.
  • Buttons and links are easy to tap on a phone.

How we check it

We review every change with an automatic tool (axe) and by hand, using only the keyboard, on phone and desktop. Tools don't catch everything, which is why the manual check matters. Our goal is to meet the WCAG 2.2 guidelines at level AA.

Something doesn't work?

If you hit a barrier, that's our mistake. Tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do and how you browse (for example, with a screen reader or zoom). We'll get back to you as soon as we can.
