About
We put the digital tools organizations need within reach, with professional services sized to your organization.
After three years working in logistics and resource distribution in the social sector with 1 Kilo de Ayuda (Fundación Altius) in Madrid — first sorting and distributing food parcels to at-risk families, then teaching digital skills to program participants — I understood that the digital divide is really an opportunity divide. ShiftCitizen was born to close that gap: helping social organizations adopt open digital tools and giving citizens the resources to participate with discernment. I come from law, where I spent half of my career: I practised as a lawyer in Venezuela and Colombia, worked as a Compliance Officer in financial services for the insurer Zurich, did an LL.M. in International Legal Practice (IE Business School), and my law degree is officially recognised in Spain. I then learned to code through hands-on training: freeCodeCamp, Udacity's Mobile Web Specialist Nanodegree and AWS re/Start. At Fundación Altius I taught classes and digitized the volunteer onboarding process and the volunteer agreement. Since 2021 I've taught programming and digital skills at Madrid for Refugees, Migracode, CEPI and Superprof, and as a Stanford section leader: in 2026 I'm taking part in Code in Place for the fourth time and, for the first time, in Probability for AI (PAI), Stanford's new program. For each engagement I put together a team of professionals.
